Acting for Kuoni Travel we are delighted to have secured this prime unit in Manchester’s Arndale shopping centre.
Manchester Arndale has continued to diversify its retail and leisure offering after announcing it has signed an agreement with Kuoni Travel which will see the premium worldwide holiday company occupy the former Paperchase unit in the shopping centre.
Specialising in tailor-made travel around the world, Kuoni is known as one of the UK’s most trusted travel companies, recognised by The Times, Conde Nast Traveller and Which? as one of their readers favourite places to book a holiday. The company sells a wide range of holidays including family holidays, safaris, honeymoons, cruises and city-breaks.
Its new location at Manchester Arndale will see it relocate from its current Manchester city centre location in King Street. The new store will allow customers to speak to Kuoni’s expert team about their plans over a glass of champagne ensuring that booking their holiday is as enjoyable as the trip itself.
The letting to Kuoni Travel comes as Manchester Arndale’s asset managers, M&G Real Estate and Global Mutual, continue to increase the diversification of occupiers at the shopping centre, ensuring there is something for everyone. This has resulted in several high profile lettings over the past 12 months which has helped footfall grow by 6.3% with over 46 million people visiting Manchester Arndale and New Cathedral Street during 2023, as occupancy grew to over 95%.
Scott Linard, Portfolio Director for M&G Real Estate, said: “It is great to welcome Kuoni to Manchester Arndale as we look to ensure we continue to offer a diverse range of retail, leisure, and eateries to help attract visitors from the North West and beyond. Our wide variety of brands and strong footfall is ensuring we continue to attract leading occupiers to Manchester Arndale, and we hope to announce further big names in the coming months.”
Donna Hynes, Retail Director, Kuoni said: “We’ve got a loyal customer base in Manchester and we want to continue to look after our repeat clients as well as appeal to new ones. This is a superb location to keep our brand visible, to continue to offer great service and our team of friendly and well-travelled experts are looking forward to being part of the shopping centre.”
M&G Real Estate and Global Mutual act as joint asset managers of Manchester Arndale while Metis Real Estate and Time Retail Partners are the centre’s retained letting agents, with Green & Partners retained lease advisory agents.
